Iron Mountain, March 16th sunrise.

A view of Neighbor, Mount Woodson.

Perhaps a little yellow fever this morning?

Finally, full sun on neighboring twin peak, Mount Woodson.

Mount Woodson Peak on a warm, winter morning.

Sun not able to reach the full subjects.

Colorful start to a wonderful morning.

Up, up and away.

On golden patch.

Mount Woodson follow up with a potential addition to the team

The team gather before attempting the 'channel crossing'.

We continue to search for an additional member for our hiking and adventure team.
The ranks of potential future members seem a bit thin so we thought we might try
out Ellie. A few months ago, she did quite well on her maiden mountain hike (see two
blogs further below) so we thought about testing her on water. After all, we expect each
member to be versatile. Should Ellie be able to share the backpack burden with her 'gaga',
she has the job. So how did she shape up to this rather strenuous test at Lake Poway?
Perhaps, the pictures below will provide an indication.

'I get a little help from my friend.'

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Cowboy Ben mounts his dinosaur.

Could it be the 'lame duck'?

'We have birds overboard,' exclaims a dejected skipper.

An 'engine and skipper' in harmony.

It might not be wise showing the parents this next move.

It looks like the search for a third member of the team shall continue.

Cheers,

Jenni and Jeffrey
